Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Sewer Flusher / Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sewer flushing and hydrovac equipment to clean, maintain, and inspect municipal, industrial, and commercial sewer and stormwater systems. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate sewer flusher and hydrovac trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage systems.
- Excavate around underground utilities using hydrovac equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues.
- Set up traffic control and work zones in accordance with safety regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, and required documentation.
- Assist with confined space entry operations when required.
- Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, and clients.
- Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours work as needed.
QualificationsRequired
- Valid Class 3A/1A driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating sewer flushing, vacuum, hydrovac, or similar heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Hydrovac operating experience.
- Sewer maintenance or municipal infrastructure experience.
- Confined Space Entry certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ground Disturbance Level II certification
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
- H2S Alive certification
- Fall Protection certification
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to wastewater, mud, dust, and construction environments.
- Overtime, weekends, and on-call work may be required.
- Travel to various job sites within the service area.

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
