Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery to various locations. This is a full-time position that requires extensive travel.
Duties:
- Safely operate and drive tractor-trailer combinations to transport goods
- Plan routes and ensure on-time delivery of goods to designated destinations
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking oil, water, tires, brakes, and lights
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transportation
- Complete all necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven 3+ years experience as a long haul driver or similar role
- Excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate various road conditions
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
