Job Summary
The Personal Lines Broker is responsible for providing clients with service to existing policies and quoting new insurance risks. They shall offer impartial advice, assess client needs, recommend suitable coverage, and serve customers throughout Nova Scotia in a team-based environment. Location of clients may change based on business needs.
The Personal Lines Broker will be responsible for meeting the expectations of a personal service plan, with support, coaching, and training provided by the company.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients in person and by telephone
- Recommending appropriate coverages
- Educating clients on risks and insurance options
- Upselling and cross-selling where appropriate
- Supporting team members
- Safeguarding client confidentiality
- Maintaining accurate records
- Completing all required training
Requirements
- Valid Nova Scotia Level 2 General Insurance License (preferred) or ability to obtain/transfer licensing.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAIB designation or progress toward CAIB, or CIP designation or progress toward CIP
- Experience with insurer portals and comparative rating systems
- Existing industry relationships and community involvement
- Minimum 2–3 years of personal lines insurance experience
Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
