We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The Restaurant Server plays a vital role in delivering a memorable dining experience through excellent customer service and efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of menu items when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS, ensuring timely entry and processing
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure positive guest experiences
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations related to food handling and service
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation standards
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and making change accurately
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of food industry standards, food safety protocols, and hospitality best practices is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
