Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and combi lifts to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Use ironworkers and saws to fabricate components as required.
- Load and offload trucks with materials and finished products.
- Ensure accurate and timely handling of shipments to prevent damage and delays.
- Organize crates containing specific parts to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by keeping track of materials and their locations.
- Assist in manufacturing cable bracing and rod bracing according to specifications.
- Ensure quality control standards are met during the fabrication process.
- Shuttle steel materials within the yard to designated areas.
- Keep the yard organized and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Occasionally travel to job sites to assist in offloading materials as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
- Provide assistance in other areas of the facility as required to support overall operations.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and follow all Health & Safety procedures as mandated by Armour/CMB.
Skills/Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with material handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and perform manual tasks.
- strong skills in utilizing a measuring tape accurately and being proficient in reading measurements in both feet and inches.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if required for offsite tasks.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications is an asset.
Hours
This is a full time, permanent role located in Stoney Creek, Ontario
Days: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm (5 days a week)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
