Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights. This role requires a strong background in accounting software and financial analysis, with the ability to lead a team and support the company's growth objectives.
Duties
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements and reports to inform management decisions.
- Conduct account reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain and optimize the use of accounting software (Sage).
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards through regular audits and internal controls.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to support business growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software - Sage
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation and account analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lead a finance team effectively and communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
