Our Client, a leading manufacturing company is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join their team. This role includes performing laboratory analysis on customer product samples for the purpose of supporting our sales and service efforts in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory analyses for incoming customer samples to determine specific properties and customer issues accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report results back to the customer and to the appropriate sales and tech personnel.
- Perform specialized analyses to determine specific properties and customer issues.
- Perform Quality Control testing on concentrated products as required.
- Maintain the laboratory and laboratory analysis records in an orderly manner.
- Manage and distribute Certificates of Analysis as required.
- Distribute Safety Data Sheets and Product Information Forms as required.
- Process and track samples sent to supplier for specific testing as required. Report results to customers and sales personnel.
- Submit reports to customers, Sales Representatives and Technical Service Representatives concerning laboratory testing results for specific areas, (e.g. ion reports) as required.
- Track, summarize and report laboratory test results and U.S. sample shipping performance metrics at the end of each month.
- Assist with customer troubleshooting by telephone when required.
- Oversee stock levels to ensure laboratory supplies are readily available.
- Comply with and support all company values, policies, rules, environmental and health & safety regulations in the performance of all related jobs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Post Secondarydegree or education in Science
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Knowledge and operation of MS Office 365 and MS 365 ERP and any other software deemed to be necessary or demonstrate a willingness to learn any other software deemed necessary to carry out duties.
- Understand and execute Health and Safety instructions.
- Health & Safety Certification with the Ontario Ministry of Labour
- Training in and full understanding of the Canadian TDG and GHS requirements.
- Operational knowledge of the ISO quality standards.
