Project Coordinator - Fulltime (Onsite)
Reporting to the Director of Operations the Project Coordinator works closely with project team members, other managers and leads to help deliver projects efficiently on time and on budget. The Project Coordinator is responsible for project coordination activities and quality control for Teraflex clients and stakeholders.
Accountabilities

Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope and budget

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

Attend site meetings as required with the Manager, Operations, customers and third parties to understand project requirements

Interface and coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate creation of necessary project documentation
-
Pro-actively track and analyze projects performance, expenditures, procurement and bring forward any challenges, blockers, risks, overflows, or deficits

Pro-actively track and analyze project performance, cost performance and schedule of work and bring forward changes of project scope, project schedule, and project costs, along with recommendations of improvements to the above

Liaison with Municipal/Hydro/other approving authorities for securing permits and approvals

Work with the Manager, Operations on resource planning, availability, and allocation according to projects schedule and requirements

Translate scope and requirements into tasks and associated schedule and assign tasks as required

Accountable for ensuring key dates and project milestones are met by internal and external resources to maintain project schedules and project completion deadlines for customers

Work with team to keep project going according to schedule

Create, track and maintain comprehensive project documentation (ex. contracts, etc.)

Track and maintain trade documentation for the duration of the project (ex. Ministry of Labour Form 1000, WSIB, Safety Plans, Insurance etc.)

Perform quality assurance audits on work as required

Facilitate and follow close-out project and documentation processes in accordance with Teraflex standards and ensure project deliverables are sent to operations

Coordinate and oversee multiple projects at a time, whilst maintaining customer satisfaction

Operate with an innovative and continuous improvement mindset to maximize efficiencies and processes

Demonstrate a customer centric approach with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

Education in Construction Estimating, Engineering, Electrical or Civil Technology or related field

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator and /or experience in the construction industry

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation (bilingualism is an asset)

Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office Software
-
Understanding of light to heavy Civil construction in Utilities and an electrical background would be considered an asset

Bilingualism would be considered an asset

Canadian Government Security Clearance in Canada an asset
