The Institute of Islamic Studies is hiring a course lecturer to teach ISLA 221/D1 002: Introductory Arabic in the Fall 2026 term.
This course is an introduction to Modern Standard Arabic, including pronunciation, reading and writing of the Arabic script; and speaking and comprehension of basic sentences, commands, statements in the present tense.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education
M.A. or PhD degree in Arabic linguistics, literature, or a related field..
Experience
Relevant teaching experience at a university or college level. Fluency in Arabic is required.
