Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight to various destinations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshoot mechanical issues when required
- Follow all transportation laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Assist in securing freight properly for transit to prevent damage during transportation
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) (1 or 3A) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge of freight handling, automotive repair, and basic troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure freight, including lifting heavy objects when necessary
- Prior experience in commercial driving is advantageous
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process
Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
