Overview
Discovery Land Camp is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated STEM and Sport Program Coordinator for our Concord location for the Summer of 2026.
As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering a dynamic and engaging camp experience for co-ed campers aged 5 to 12 years old. Reporting directly to the Camp Director and working closely with the Location Manager and Camp Counsellors, you will ensure the camp operates smoothly, providing a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Camp Location Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, managing check-in and check-out procedures, administering first aid, and addressing behavioral issues effectively.
- Coordinate with fellow Counsellors to ensure the seamless execution of daily programs, adhering to schedules and maintaining all necessary equipment and supplies.
- Facilitate and implement STEM workshops following a structured curriculum, and actively participate in leading sports, arts, and other recreational activities.
- Prepare, organize, clean and store equipment and materials appropriately, ensuring readiness for each session.
- Conduct weekly reviews of equipment and supplies, restocking and preparing for upcoming activities while promptly reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive camp environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among campers and staff.
- Provide consistent guidance and leadership throughout all aspects of camp operations to maintain a high-quality experience.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a STEM Program Coordinator or Counsellor, along with expertise in leading various sports activities, is REQUIRED.
- Educational Background: Candidates actively pursuing, currently enrolled in, or having completed studies in education, STEM, child and youth care, or related fields are REQUIRED.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coordinate programs, motivate campers, and foster a positive, engaging environment.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated responsibility, efficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Initiative and Enthusiasm: High levels of initiative, energy, and confidence to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Certifications: A Vulnerable Sector Check and valid CPR/First Aid certification will be required of the successful candidate, at their own expense.
- Availability: Program Coordinator must be available to work from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
