Position Summary:
The Sheet Metal worker will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal systems in a commercial setting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components.
- Measure, mark, cut, and shape metal sheets using various hand and power tools. Perform on-site installations, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Operate fabrication machinery, such as shears, brakes, and rollers, with precision.
- Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and durability.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and supervisors.
- Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and participate in safety training as required.
Qualifications:
- Licensed/Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker, OCOT Registered in good standing
- Commercial and Institutional construction an asset
- Valid G drivers license and transportation
- Gas License (G1-3) an asset
- Safety Training Level 1-Working at Heights, WHIMIS 2015, Health & Safety Awareness, Elevating Work Platforms
