Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute repairs and replacements effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
- Communicate with customers regarding repair needs and provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Understand and interpret schematics to assist in complex repairs.
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed during vehicle repairs or parts replacement.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their concerns.
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques with experience in both dealership and independent shop settings.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required by job duties.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and schematics is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
Work Hours
Monday-Friday: 9 am - 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am - 2 pm
Sunday: Closed
