Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tandoor Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety within the food industry or restaurant environment. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food service, and leading a team to deliver authentic and high-quality dishes. The Tandoor Chef will play a key role in maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for exceptional cuisine and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional tandoori dishes with precision and authenticity
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure high-quality food production
- Manage food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan menus and improve culinary offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Serve dishes to customers when required, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant management, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine or tandoori dishes
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food industry trends and customer service excellence
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
