Barista / Café Associate

Pink Martini Coffee Shop is a unique café located at the front of our Pink Martini fashion warehouse and retail space. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable Barista who loves coffee, enjoys connecting with people, and thrives in a creative environment where fashion and coffee come together.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Operate the POS system and process customer transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and seating areas
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Support occasional in-store events and promotions
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or café experience preferred (training can be provided)
- Passion for coffee and hospitality
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required
- Smart Serve certification is an asset

Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse patrons
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
