Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need, such as seniors, hospice patients, or individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings.
- Document client care and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or dementia care is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need of care.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying shifts and client needs.
Documentation Required For Employment:
- Valid First Aid Certification
- A clear Code of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check
- 3 References (2 Professional, 1 Personal)
