We are urgently seeking for a Construction Estimator to Join our Team at Oaklen Contracting Ltd. You will support our primary construction projects specializing in site servicing, cut- and-fill and roadworks, must have minimum of 5 years experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the tasks at hand. This position requires proficiency in various office software such as B2W/ Hard Dollar and strong communication skills, to effectively manage the daily operations.
Responsibilities:
* Quantity Takeoffs, calculating volumes of earth to be removed ( excavation & backfill) lengths of underground piping, and square footage of asphalt or concrete. knowledgeable in estimation software ( Bluebeam, Trimble Viewpoint, B2W/Procore
* Underground Utilities, estimating costs including sanitary sewers, storm drainage system and water mains.
*Earthworks & Grading, assessing soil stability and drainage needs.
*Roadworks & Paving, calculating costs for curbs, gutters, sidewalks and various layers of gravel and asphalt for road construction.
*Vendor & Subcontractors, soliciting and analyzing quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers for pipes aggregate, and pre-cast concrete
*Update all project documents.
*Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall productivity.
* Understanding of local municipal standards.
