THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the VP of Operations & Logistics, the Maintenance Technician has a positive attitude, strong work ethic and interested in working in a growing company.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Perform routine equipment, machine and tool maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, and replacement part
- Tools like glue guns, pneumatic staple guns, tape machines, airline hoses, corrugated stripper tools (Chisel, hammer & screwdriver)
- Machines like Young Shin die cutting machines, clamshell die cut presses, automatan laminator, PotDevin- Roll coating laminator, folder/gluer, guillotine, slitter machines, Vac Former, CNC, AGFA Digital Printer, Kongsberg Cutting Table
- Conduct performance tests of plant equipment, machinery and tools
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment, machinery and tools
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
- Establish a preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery and tools; identify equipment maintenance needs
- Maintain asset records of equipment, machine and tool history; maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules
- General building maintenance i.e., adjusting security cameras, minor air conditioning maintenance, floor repairs, bay door repair, minor plumbing, minor electrical (changing light bulbs/ballasts)
- Maintain a neat, tidy, and organized maintenance area/cage
- Demonstrate behaviour aligned with the organization’s values
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Perform other job-related duties consistent with the nature, level, and responsibilities of the position as assigned.
YOU’LL SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE
- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12); technical or trade school education is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building, facilities, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Knowledge of lubricants used in plant equipment; electrical and related codes; operational characteristics of maintenance equipment and tools; standard operating procedures for purchases and receipts
- Working knowledge of safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and common diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and basic schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others.

Compensation
We strive to offer compensation that is fair, competitive, and reflective of each individual’s experience and contributions. Compensation will vary based on experience and skill level (Developing, Proficient, Highly Proficient, Expert, Management, Senior Leader). Candidates who are continuing to develop key skills may be considered below the range, while those who bring specialized expertise, exceptional impact, or deep industry knowledge may be considered above it.
The target compensation for this role is $25- $40 per hour and reflects a professional at a Proficient level.
