Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Manage and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a cohesive work environment.
- Oversee food safety compliance and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems; manage cash handling procedures securely.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and proper food presentation.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and monitor stock for freshness and quality.
- Enforce restaurant policies, safety protocols, and hospitality standards to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
- Assist in resolving operational issues quickly to minimize disruptions during shifts.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant management industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling expertise required.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff members.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Ability to oversee food industry operations including kitchen management, serving, and hospitality services such as hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for interviewing staff, conducting training sessions, and collaborating with team members.
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices including inventory control, safety regulations, and staff scheduling.
