A well-established Canadian engineering and manufacturing organization specializing in large-scale industrial equipment is seeking an experienced hydraulic engineering professional. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of hydraulic systems for heavy industrial equipment
- Develop and review hydraulic schematics, calculations, and component selections
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including flow, pressure, heat load, and power studies
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, automation, manufacturing, and service teams for system integration
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations
- Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical presentations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and internal engineering criteria
- Review 3D models and drawings for manufacturability and accuracy
- Prepare BOMs, specifications, test procedures, and documentation
- Stay current with emerging fluid power and electro-hydraulic technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- 7–15+ years of hydraulic system design experience (industrial machinery or heavy equipment preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic circuits, servo/proportional valves, pumps, accumulators, and hydraulic safety
- Strong analytical capabilities using engineering calculations and simulation tools (Automation Studio, FluidSIM, Simscape, etc.)
- Proficient with CAD platforms for reviewing models and drawings
- Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities with complex electro-hydraulic systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills; experience mentoring junior staff
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Commissioning or field support experience is an asset

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
