Job Summary
The Fueler Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the DARTS fleet is clean, fueled, and ready for service. This role involves fueling vehicles, maintaining cleanliness standards, replenishing supplies, and conducting minor fluid top-ups. The ideal candidate is a team player who can work independently with minimal supervision, has a strong attention to detail, and demonstrates a positive attitude while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles from their parked location to the fuel pump and fuel to capacity using the fuel pump computer.
- Clean the exterior of vehicles in the wash bay as required.
- Clean the interior of vehicles, prioritizing unsanitary or heavily soiled vehicles.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for cleaning unsanitary vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are stocked with essential supplies such as gloves and disinfectant wipes.
- Meet operational targets, including fueling a minimum of thirty-six (36) vehicles per eight (8) hour shift and completing between twelve (12) and fifteen (15) cleanings per week.
- Top up essential vehicle fluids, such as oil and windshield washer fluid, as required.
- Maintain a cleaning schedule to ensure each vehicle receives a regular cleaning every five weeks.
- Distribute company communications and notices in vehicles as required.
- Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Valid Class “G” driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning and fueling procedures accurately.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in vehicle fueling, cleaning, or maintenance is considered an asset.
Pay: $21.25 per hour
