Social Media Specialist (Maternity Leave Contract)
Role Overview
Are you a digital storyteller who knows how to turn brand values into thumb-stopping content? CENTURY 21 Canada is looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our national marketing team for a maternity leave contract.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will oversee national content planning, campaign execution, and the evolution of our social platforms. You’ll bridge the gap between high-level brand awareness and practical tools for our network of owners and agents across Canada.
Job Details:
- Location: Vancouver, BC (Coal Harbour).
- Flexibility: This is a hybrid role; the successful candidate will be in-office 3–4 days per week.
- Experience: This is not an entry-level role, although we value a blend of formal education and "in-the-trenches" practical experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Editorial Management
- Own and evolve the editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent pulse across digital channels.
- Strategically align content with national recruiting, retention, and brand awareness goals.
- Distill complex corporate initiatives into digestible, engaging content for both our network members and the general public.
2. Content Production & Executive Voice
- Produce high-quality original content: from short-form video and blog posts to more polished digital assets.
- Act as a creative lead for the C21 Canada leadership team, elevating their professional social presence and thought leadership.
- Develop "done-for-you" marketing kits (email templates, social posts) that offices can easily deploy to their local agents.
3. Multi-Channel Campaign Execution
- Execute integrated digital campaigns across Social, Email, and Web.
- Monitor social trends and platform updates to ensure C21 remains a leader in the real estate space.
- Analyze performance metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Creative Suite Mastery: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign) and Canva.
- Social Fluency: Deep understanding of platform algorithms, community management, and content strategy (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
- Copywriting: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to pivot from professional corporate updates to witty, engaging social captions.
- Project Management: Ability to manage tight deadlines without losing your creative spark.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in real estate or franchise environments is an asset.

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
