We are seeking a driven professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant at our Oakville office, starting on September 14, 2026. You will play an integral role in driving client success and contributing to the continued growth of our organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of compiled financial statements, corporation/trust income tax returns, personal tax returns, and various other tax filings (i.e. GST/HST, T4/T5 Summary/Slips, Installments, etc).
- Preparation of year-end packages, (i.e. preparing trial balance reports, adjusting entries, and reconciling accounts).
- Onboarding new clients, setting up files and review of previous books.
- Implementing process improvements and system efficiencies.
WHAT YOU BRING
Technical Skills
- 1+ years of work experience in a public accounting firm, including compilation engagements and preparation of tax returns is preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, CaseWare Cloud, CCH iFirm and other accounting software.
- Strong work ethic, diligent, committed and able to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment and produce work that demonstrates attention to detail.
- Must be highly accurate and willing to take responsibility for various accounting issues.
Communication and Relationship Management Skills
- Solid communication skills – fluency in written and spoken English.
- Detail oriented, self-starter, able to handle conflicting priorities.
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
- Proven ability to work independently or part of a team.
Education
- Post-secondary degree in accounting or related field.
- Pursuit of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
