Millwright - Job Description
The Millwright will be responsible for installing or dismantling machinery and equipment according to blueprints, company plans, and other diagrams. The Millwright will also be responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment as well as ensure that all safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed
- Performs preventive maintenance on all mechanical/electrical systems and equipment; this includes disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration;
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments;
- Communicates potential mechanical hazards on equipment to appropriate leadership and operators;
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance;
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests;
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives for operations;
- Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management
Qualifications:
- Holds an Industrial Millwright Mechanic licence with 2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing food processing environment;
- Knowledge of conveyors, pumps / compressor, electrical / electronic controls and high speed packaging equipment

Pay: $30.00-$44.00 per hour
