D&D Dixy Trucking is HIRING! – We are seeking a responsible and dependable general labourer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Support the operation of the shop (inside & out) by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Assist within the shop to service and maintain our transport fleet.
Assist with cleaning, lubricating and perform other routine maintenance.
Assist with ordering and picking up parts or supplies as needed.
Travel to/from work sites to provide filling up gas and water tanks.
Travel to/from work sites to provide generator oil changes and general maintenance on units (training will be provided)
Be able to operate equipment safely to avoid injuries or property damage;
Work in compliance with D&D Dixy Trucking’s health and safety policy and in accordance with OHSA;
Perform daily routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and shop;
Work independently and collaboratively with other team members;
Requirements / Work Conditions:
Ability to travel to/from work sites to provide fuel and water to parked units;
Ability to work inside and outside in all different weather conditions;
Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings;
Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting, or kneeling;
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
Must be able to take direction from superiors and work with minimal supervision;
Good command of the English language (written & spoken);
License / Education:
Valid class 5 driver's license is required (22 years & older due to insurance requirements)
Experience:
Mechanical knowledge is considered an asset, but not required.
Experience running a forklift would be beneficial, but not required.
Any additional training and safety tickets will be considered an asset;
Pay: $18.50-$35.00 per hour
