Job Summary
Sage Hill Dental is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the CLEARDENT system.
- Educate patients on dental conditions, treatment plans and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including patient check-in and check-out.
- Ensure that all dental instruments are properly sterilized and maintained according to health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology, including scanners systems, CBCT and terminology relevant to dentistry.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed with CADA.
- 1 year experience of working as a RDA in fast paced dental practice.
- Familiarity with Scanner is a plus, along with knowledge of Cleardent software for patient management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy clinical setting.
- Should be able to work on weekends.
