The Sales and Service Safety Association (S2SA) is currently looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Training: Learn and deliver industry-related safety training sessions and workshops for employees /employers in the sales and service industries.
- SAFE Work Certification: Work with members to bring them up to SAFE Work Certification standards or improve their safety program by responding to safety-related questions and providing advice and recommendations, conduct gap analyses and SAFE Work Certification audits, develop industry-specific resources to assist our members in building their safety management systems, conduct quality assurance on audit submissions.
- Administration and Member Engagement: Ensure member inquiries are addressed efficiently, effectively and accurately, record accurate and timely member information in the member CRM, increase awareness of S2SA programs and services through verbal, written and electronic communication, both individually and as a team.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education (degree, diploma or certificate) in courses related to health and safety.
- Other safety designations (or working towards) are considered an asset: CRSP, CRST, CHSC, NCSO, Etc.
- 2+ years as a health and safety professional.
- Experience in the basic functioning of WCB and WSH.
- Basic knowledge of Manitoba safety associations and Safe Work Manitoba.

- You are highly organized, and detail focused; are able manage time appropriately and meet deadlines.
- You must have a minimum of a valid Class 5 vehicle driver’s license, a reliable vehicle and willing to take on some provincial travel – day trips with some overnight throughout the year – if necessary.
- You have the ability to thrive and multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, adjusting strategies to meet changing requirements.
