About the Role
RSP Enterprise is a growing Canadian company in the HVAC and home-comfort distribution sector. As we scale, we are creating our first dedicated in-house Human Resources role, and we are looking for a hands-on generalist to make it their own.
This is a do-it-yourself, in-house role, not a team-lead or purely strategic one. Your week is built around the things that never stop: finding and hiring the right people, onboarding them well, and being the dependable person our team comes to. Our HR systems and compliance framework are being built with outside specialist support, and you will help shape them and then own and run them day to day. If you want real ownership and enjoy being the steady heartbeat of a people function as it grows, this is for you.
What You Will Do
- Full-cycle recruiting (your core, every week): Source, screen, coordinate, and interview across a range of roles, from warehouse and sales to operations, technical, and corporate. Build repeatable pipelines and a candidate experience we are proud of.
- Onboarding and offboarding: Run smooth, consistent joining and exit processes so every new hire starts strong.
- Employee relations and everyday support: Be the first point of contact for employee questions, and support managers with day-to-day people matters and coaching.
- People operations: Keep records, time-off tracking, payroll coordination support, and HR information accurate and tidy.
- Compliance custodian: Own and maintain our HR policies, handbook, contracts, and records (built with external HR and legal support), apply them consistently, keep everything audit-ready, and know when to bring in outside counsel.
- Performance and culture: Help run simple, fair review cycles and support a positive, growth-oriented workplace.
Must-Have
- 3+ years of hands-on HR generalist experience (recruitment plus day-to-day HR, not solely one or the other).
- Full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR compliance, with the ability to apply and maintain policies and keep accurate records.
- Strong organization, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Eligible to work in Canada (this role does not offer sponsorship).
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- CPHR designation (please include your CPHR membership number in your application).
- Experience across more than one province's employment rules.
- Experience as a standalone "HR of one" in a small or mid-sized company.
- Background in HVAC, distribution, wholesale, trades, or logistics.
- Mandarin language ability is an asset (not required).
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll tools and Google Workspace.
What We Offer
- A high-ownership role with direct access to leadership.
- Competitive salary based on experience and designation.
- Extended health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Paid vacation and personal days.
- On-site parking.
- Lunch
- Genuine room to grow as the company and the HR function scale.
Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
