Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Landscape Lights & Gemstone Lights Installer to join our team. This role involves installing and maintaining low voltage decorative lighting systems outdoors at fine homes and commercial properties. Ideal position for an experienced roofer comfortable working at heights on ladders up to 30 feet.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in working outdoors in a landscape-related or construction-related trades.
Preference given to candidates experienced in installing Gemstone Lights or similar roofline lighting. Experience installing low voltage landscape lights also a plus.
Full on-the-job paid training provided. All tools and equipment provided. Hat and shirts provided, plus shoe allowance.
Position available to start immediately.
Compensation
- $26 per hour to start
- +Weekly bonus to help cover your gas

Hours
- Full time, weekdays
- Can be 4-day week (10hr days) instead of 5-day week (8hr days) if preferred. Every weekend can be a long weekend!
Duties
- Drive yourself to job sites daily anywhere in GTA, from Oakville to Newmarket
- Install low voltage landscape lighting
- Install Gemstone Lights permanent low voltage roofline lights
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to assemble and secure lighting fixtures
- Work on extension ladders up to 28 feet
- Connect low voltage electrical wiring safely and efficiently, adhering to safety standards and electrical codes. All training provided.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on existing lighting installations
- Collaborate within a small team (2-4 people) to ensure timely completion of projects
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Ensure work site is left clean and tidy when finished
Qualifications
- Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools such as drills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Prior experience installing Gemstone Lights or similar is highly desirable
- Prior experience installing low voltage landscape lights is highly desirable
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials
- Ability to work comfortably on ladders up to 28ft
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly on-site
- Friendly and personable. Neat appearance
- Must have own car/vehicle to get to job sites each day
- Must have full Class G driver's licence and clean driver’s abstract
