Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide essential in-home care and assistance to clients in need. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities, health management, and personal well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in assisted living, senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities, and will be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care in a professional manner.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and ensure consistent, respectful, and person centered support.
- Accompany and assist client with medical appointments.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates
- Compassionate nature with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures is a plus
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous for travel between client locations
- Must be reliable, respectful, and committed to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity
- RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check required.
