Employment Support Worker/Job Coach (35 Hours per Week)

About the Position
Jobs Unlimited is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Employment Support Worker/Job Coach to provide individualized workplace support to a client employed within a nursing home environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the client, employer, family members, and the Jobs Unlimited team to provide structured support that promotes meaningful employment, workplace inclusion, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide one-to-one workplace support using structured teaching and coaching strategies that promote skill development, confidence, and independence.
· Support the client in completing assigned job duties while encouraging maximum participation and independence.
· Assist with portions of tasks when necessary while ensuring the client remains actively involved in the work process.
· Support the development of workplace readiness, communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
· Foster positive working relationships and promote inclusion within the workplace.
· Assist with personal hygiene activities as required.
· Provide transportation to and from the workplace.
· Maintain accurate documentation and submit required reports.
· Collaborate effectively with employers, supervisors, family members, and the Jobs Unlimited team to ensure consistency of supports.
· Follow individualized support plans and contribute to ongoing goal development and progress monitoring.
· Occasionally provide support to an additional client based on operational needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
Human Services Counsellor, Educational Assistant, Personal Support Worker, Social Services Community Worker, Child and Youth Care, or other related education are considered strong assets.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements
This position is based within a nursing home laundry department and requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
The environment is structured and fast-paced, requiring strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain consistent routines and workflow expectations.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
