Looking for a Reliable Dog Walker & Pet Care Subcontractor
I’m currently looking for a subcontractor to join my pet care business for the summer, with the possibility of occasional ongoing work throughout the year (including busy holiday periods such as Christmas).
This role is ideal for someone who is a true animal lover and genuinely enjoys working with both dogs and cats of all personalities, sizes, and temperaments.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone who already has experience as a dog walker or in the pet care industry. However, I’m also happy to train the right person if they are responsible, eager to learn, and truly passionate about animals.
What I’m looking for:
- Experience handling dogs and cats confidently and safely
- Ability to manage different personalities, energy levels, and home environments
- Responsible, punctual, trustworthy, and professional
- Calm, patient, and attentive to animal behavior and needs
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Comfortable working independently
- Comfortable walking long distances every day
- Not afraid of different weather conditions. Rain, heat, snow, and cold are all part of the job
- Able to walk multiple dogs if needed (maximum 3 at the same time)
- Previous pet care, dog walking, veterinary, shelter, or animal handling experience is strongly preferred
Schedule:
Most walks and visits take place between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, primarily on weekdays, but sometimes during the weekend as well.
Area:
Most services are located around Yonge & Bloor and surrounding areas.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
