We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers directly at the point of sale, providing expert product knowledge, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in retail sales, inside and outside sales, or related fields such as renovation or construction is highly valued. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with basic computer skills. Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assisting them with their inquiries and needs
- Manage inside sales transactions using POS systems and handle cash handling accurately
- Assist customers in selecting products, offering expert advice on renovation, construction, or merchandising options
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store environment is inviting and well-stocked
- Engage in account management activities for repeat clients, fostering long-term relationships
- Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives and promotional events
- Promote products through marketing strategies tailored to diverse customer segments
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, inside sales, or outside sales environments
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math calculations
- Experience with renovation, construction, or merchandising is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and display setup
- Ability to negotiate effectively and upsell products to meet sales targets
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team while managing multiple priorities efficiently
Pay: $18.50-$21.75 per hour
