We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our dynamic team in the civil engineering industry. As a Survey Party Chief, you will play a critical role in leading our survey crew and ensuring accurate and efficient measurements for various civil engineering projects. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a survey crew, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
- Conduct field surveys using the latest surveying equipment and techniques
- Analyze survey data, make calculations, and prepare accurate reports
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to determine survey requirements for projects
- Interpret construction plans and layout precise marks for construction sites
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations on the job site
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors
- Perform quality control checks on completed surveys
- Keep accurate records and documentation of survey data
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Survey Party Chief, preferably in the civil engineering industry
- Proficient in using total stations, GPS, and other survey equipment
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles and techniques
- Excellent mathematical skills and ability to make accurate calculations
- Familiarity with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
