What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Academy Director to lead our West Vancouver academy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is driven by results. You will oversee daily operations, lead a team, engage with families, and—most importantly—drive academy growth through sales, retention, and community outreach.
Compensation will be based heavily on performance, with opportunities for commission and profit-sharing based on academy growth, registration targets, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily academy operations
- Guide and support a team of part-time facilitators
- Deliver an exceptional experience for both children and parents
- Conduct academy tours, trial sessions, and follow-up communications
- Drive registration growth and manage the enrollment pipeline
- Support marketing efforts and community outreach
- Ensure a fun, safe, and clean learning environment
- Track performance metrics and report regularly to ownership
- Uphold Steamoji brand and curriculum quality standards
Qualifications
- Post-secondary graduate (education, business, STEM, or related fields)
- Proven ability to work with children ages 5–14
- Comfortable engaging with parents and selling services
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with STEM education or maker culture is a plus
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong accountability
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be tech-savvy, positive, and comfortable managing a team
Compensation
This is a performance-based role. Total compensation will include:
- Base salary
- Profit-sharing or performance bonuses based on academy revenue and success
- Opportunity for increased earnings as enrollment grows
