This isn't just a sales role; it is an optional seven-year mentorship track designed to transition a high-potential associate into a fully capable, independent advisor.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding a sophisticated book of business, leveraging a massive revenue-sharing model that rewards your direct impact on the firm’s growth.
The Role: Sales & Strategic Growth
As the lead for business development, you will collaborate directly with the Senior Advisor to build and execute a dominant market presence.
- Strategic Prospecting: Develop and pivot sales plans to capture new opportunities within the BC market as well as engaging your own network.
- Network Expansion: Actively engage in high-level networking and social events to build long-term referral pipelines.
- Lead Execution: Rapidly convert opportunities from the Sun Life lead program into loyal clients.
- Relationship Management: Manage the end-to-end client experience, from initial onboarding to delivering complex investment recommendations and reporting.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee essential administrative functions, including KYC/IQ updates, account openings, and transfer processing to ensure a seamless client journey.
The breakdown of daily tasks will roughly be 60% sales, 20% admin, 20% client management.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing: Mutual Fund license required - IFC. LLQP to follow.
- Communication: Elite verbal and written English and Mandarin skills are mandatory.
- Independence: A self-starter who can learn complex systems and strategies with minimal supervision.
- Marketable: Must be confident in presentations and speaking in medium size groups if required: 4-8 people in a corporate environment.
Compensation
- Revenue Share: Competitive base with a no-ceiling commission structure reflecting your ownership of the sales you conduct and maintaining those client relationships.
- Succession Track: A clear, documented path to becoming a lead advisor within 7 years (optional).
You will play a pivotal role in expanding a sophisticated book of business, leveraging a massive revenue-sharing model that rewards your direct impact on the firm’s growth.
The base compensation will have variance which can be heavily influenced on onboarding prospects within a short amount of time. Candidates who may not have a guaranteed network may start at $55,000 - $65,000 plus a competitive revenue sharing bonuses which increases your base over time.
We are seeking an individual who can foresee themselves earning beyond $100,000 by year 2 of joining the team. Ideally we are looking for a candidate to be onboarded in July or August.
Other Notes:
The majority of the position is remote - in person meetings are required at either the Richmond or Burnaby location if we are meeting clients or prospects for the first time.
Must be able to drive and own their own vehicle. Partial expense reimbursement is available.
Vacations "unlimited" within reason and dependent on production. Otherwise, 3 weeks minimum.
