St. Jude's Academy (SJA) holds open interviews four times a year for upcoming teaching, TA, occasional teaching and specialist teaching positions. Our next open interview session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 4:30 pm at our High School Campus (6745 Century Ave). Applicants that arrive after 4:30 pm will not be admitted. -Primary/Junior Elementary Teachers
-Grade 5-8 French Teacher
-Primary/Junior Phys. Ed. Teacher
-High School Phys. Ed. Teacher
-High School Humanities Teachers: Geography/History, Business/Civics and Careers
-DP Chemistry

Potential candidates attending the open interview are asked to bring the following documents:
-Resume and cover letter
-Valid vulnerable sector check (required upon hiring)
-First Aid certificate (if applicable)
-3 valid references. One reference must be the individual that completed your last professional evaluation.
This interview will be conducted in group sessions, which will consist of the interviewee and 4 - 6 other candidates. Candidates are required to present a short (7 minute maximum) lesson to the group, and then participate in a group interview session.
Group Lesson (maximum 7 minutes long)
1. Create and teach a lesson for a group of approximately 4 - 6 participants (group will consist of your fellow applicants).
2. Identify the target age group for your presentation prior to beginning the lesson.
3. Bring your own photocopies and any other materials needed for your lesson. A white board will be available.
4. Be clear, confident, and enthusiastic.
