The Department of Operations Management invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2026 Fall session.

Wage Rate: $9,750
Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Management Science, Operations Management, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field, together with at least two years of managerial, professional, consulting, or analytical experience in business analytics or a related area.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analytical modelling, including the use of optimization and simulation tools including Excel Solver and Analytic Solver Platform. Ability to effectively integrate these tools into instructional activities and applied business problem-solving exercises.
Evidence of successful teaching, training, or instructional experience in business analytics, management science, operations management, quantitative methods, decision sciences, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in optimization modelling, network models, decision analysis, simulation modelling, and the application of prescriptive analytics techniques to managerial decision making.
Demonstrated ability to communicate quantitative concepts effectively and to guide students in developing, solving, and interpreting analytical models for real-world business applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. preferred in a relevant subject area, demonstrated teaching excellence at McMaster or another university, more than 2 years of related managerial/professional experience.
*Supplemented Fees- Article 15.02 The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule B of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
