Summary Description:
The TOPPAN internship program is designed to “test the waters” of working in the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset.
The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation. With approximately 150 locations in 34 states, your internship could be anywhere.
What you’ll be doing:
Continuous Skills Development (CSD)

Development and structuring of skill matrices and competency trees

Support in building training plans and tracking tools

Developing evaluation tools

Mapping CSD in POKA

Transforming the utilization of Training Manager to POKA
HR Operational Efficiency

Support payroll-related improvement projects

Assist in streamlining HR processes and documentation
Policy Review & Modernization

Review and update HR policies (many not updated since 2016)

Standardize documentation across sites
HR Administration & Organization

Support organization and structuring of employee records

Improve accessibility and consistency of HR files
This is an onsite position located out of Mississauga, ON Facility
We’d love to hear from you if:
Currently pursuing a college degree, preferably related to Human Resources
Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional roles with support.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, adept at working with data.
Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Duration of the program will be 12 to 16 Months
Compensation:
$22.00 per hour CAD
