Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, managing transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technical sales are a plus.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in person or over the phone
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods accurately
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure the store is clean, organized, and inviting
- Provide product information and technical assistance when needed
- Assist customers with questions regarding store policies or product features
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone
- Support team members with additional tasks such as inventory management or stocking shelves
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Time management skills to prioritize duties during busy hours
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
