Adanac Roofing is looking for a hard-working and reliable individual to join our re-roofing crew as an Asphalt Roofing Labourer. This is an entry-level, full-time position, working 40 hours a week, with the option of overtime work. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a team.
This role works alongside a crew of 4-5 team members under the supervision of an experienced Roofing Foreman while learning the skills required for asphalt roofing installation.
This position is designed as a training pathway into becoming a Roofing Shingler for individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
Duties
· Load, carry and stage roofing materials safely and efficiently
· Tear off existing roofing materials
· Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the day
· Assist with roof preparation, underlayment’s, flashing, and shingle placement
· Follow direction and instruction from the Roofing Foreman and senior crew members
· Support daily setup and cleanup of tools, equipment, and materials
· Assist with installation of asphalt shingle roofing systems
· Follow all company safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements
Qualifications:
· Little to no roofing experience required – training provided
· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
· Reliable, punctual, and dependable
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Comfortable taking direction and following instructions
· Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
· Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
· Able to lift heavy materials and work at heights
· Positive attitude and professional behaviour on job sites
· Fall protection is an asset
