Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience while maximizing sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas swiftly, and supporting sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, demonstrating culinary knowledge and teamwork in a fine dining or food industry environment
- Support guest services by managing reservations via OpenTable or similar platforms and coordinating with host/hostess staff for smooth service flow
- Promote additional sales through effective upselling techniques while ensuring excellent customer service throughout the dining experience
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess roles or food handling enhances your ability to succeed in this position
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices is essential
- Excellent guest relations skills coupled with a positive attitude to create memorable experiences for every guest
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties including cash handling and calculating bills accurately
