Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records systems. Familiarity with medical office environments is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the Accuro electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Assist with the completion of insurance forms and other necessary documentation.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information as needed.
- Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and communication.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems; familiarity with Accuro is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and administrative procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High school diploma and certification in medical administration is advantageous.
- Preferred candidates will be fluent in one or more of the following languages: Russian or Spanish
