Mary Brown’s is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Full-Time Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play an important role in creating a positive guest experience by providing friendly customer service, accurately handling transactions, and supporting daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist customers with menu questions and promote featured items when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and beverage stations.
- Ensure orders are packaged correctly and handed out promptly.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards.
- Restock front counter supplies and assist with light inventory duties.
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced restaurant setting with frequent customer interaction.
- Exposure to hot and cold environments near kitchen and food preparation areas.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Previous cashier or restaurant experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Education and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Safe Food Handling and First Aid certifications are considered assets.
Pay: $16.75 per hour
