CONSTRUCTION FINISHING SUPERINTENDENT
Garritano Bros Ltd was established in 1966 and provides General Contracting, Construction Management and Design-Build services throughout Ontario. Our company specializes in the MUSH sector (Municipalities, Universities, Schools and Hospitals) and is a proud member of the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA). We have an outstanding safety record and a long history of delivering complex institutional construction projects.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Finishing Superintendent to join our team immediately for the completion and close-out of a major institutional project in the Greater Toronto Area.
This position is ideally suited to an experienced superintendent who enjoys bringing projects across the finish line and has a proven track record managing deficiencies, consultant reviews, owner occupancy requirements, and final site completion.
Project Status
The project is substantially complete and has entered the final close-out phase. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for completing all remaining work, including:
- Deficiency management and close-out
- Coordination of all finishing trades
- Consultant and owner inspections
- Final landscaping and exterior site work
- Cleaning, touch-ups and commissioning support
- Occupancy and close-out documentation
- Warranty item coordination
- Scheduling and directing subcontractors to achieve final completion
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Site Superintendent on institutional construction projects.
- Experience completing new schools, hospitals, municipal or other public-sector buildings in Ontario.
- Demonstrated success managing the final stages of construction, including deficiencies, commissioning, inspections and project close-out.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors while maintaining schedule and quality.
- Thorough knowledge of Ontario Building Code requirements, health and safety legislation, and institutional construction practices.
- Experience working directly with architects, engineers, consultants and public-sector owners.

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Pay: $100,000 - $160,000 per year
Full-time, Contract to Substantial Performance
Weekly payroll - Salary paid every Friday
