About the Role
Dynamite Floor Solutions and Restoration is seeking an experienced Concrete Polishing Operator capable of independently operating large planetary grinders, including the SASE PDG-8000P propane grinder, to complete commercial and industrial concrete polishing systems from start to finish. The ideal candidate has experience with surface preparation, heavy grinding, aggregate exposure, densification, honing, polishing, and coating removal while maintaining high production quality and safety standards.
The SASE PDG-8000P is a 30” propane-powered planetary grinder with variable speed controls, adjustable grinding pressure, and three 11” grinding heads designed for concrete preparation and polishing applications.
Responsibilities
- Operate large propane concrete grinders including the SASE PDG-8000P
- Complete full concrete polishing systems independently
- Perform grinding passes from metal bond through resin polishing stages
- Achieve specified gloss levels and aggregate exposure requirements
- Remove coatings, mastics, and surface contaminants safely and efficiently
- Operate industrial HEPA dust collection systems and slurry management equipment
- Select proper diamond tooling and troubleshoot floor conditions
- Conduct machine setup, daily maintenance, tooling changes, and inspections
- Read and follow project specifications and polishing sequences
- Maintain production efficiency while ensuring high-quality floor finishes
- Assist with repairs, joint filling, crack repair, and densifier application
- Follow propane equipment safety procedures and jobsite safety regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience in concrete polishing or surface preparation
- Experience operating large planetary grinders and propane equipment
- Strong understanding of concrete polishing systems and diamond tooling
- Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of floor flatness, scratch removal, and polishing consistency
- Ability to lift heavy tooling and work in physically demanding environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- OSHA / construction safety knowledge considered an asset

- SASE equipment experience
- Commercial warehouse and industrial polishing projects
- Decorative concrete and exposed aggregate finishes
- Epoxy preparation and coating removal
The SASE PDG-8000P features a propane-powered Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine, adjustable grinding pressure, and variable RPM controls designed for large-scale polishing and surface preparation work.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
