Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in their private homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, especially those with special needs such as seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing dementia. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and support.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications safely and according to care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing the living environment
- Support clients with mobility exercises and physical activities as needed
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with toileting, incontinence care, and other personal hygiene needs
- Follow care plans accurately and document care provided appropriately
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficient in English Language a must.
- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred.
- Must have valid first aid and CPR
- Clean Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must be reliable, flexible, and committed to providing respectful and dignified care
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30 minutes outside of Woodstock.

Pay: $18.75-$21.23 per hour
