Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math and Science Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong knowledge in math and science subjects, and experience working with children. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math and science subjects, including algebra, geometry, biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science.
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with students’ curriculum and learning objectives.
- Assess students’ understanding and progress regularly to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and active participation.
- Utilize computer skills to incorporate educational technology and resources into tutoring sessions.
- Support students with classroom assignments, test preparation, and homework help.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of math (including algebra, geometry) and science (biology, chemistry, physics).
- Experience with tutoring or teaching is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with classroom teaching methods and special education strategies is a plus.
- Good computer skills to utilize online resources and educational software effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
