Job Description:
Flex Point Academy is seeking a social media content creator to join our team and help us grow our social media presence.
Flex Point Academy offers top-notch training programs, including security guard courses and CPR certification. We pride ourselves on empowering individuals with the skills they need to succeed.
As a Social Media Specialist, you'll be the voice of our brand across digital platforms. Your role involves crafting eye-catching posts, engaging videos, and impactful stories that connect with our audience and promote our training programs. Collaborating with our sales and media teams, you will design and execute social media strategies to drive awareness and enrollment, foster community engagement through meaningful interactions, and leverage analytics to refine your content.
This is a temporary, 8-week contract. The candidate must be under the age of 25, currently enrolled in a post secondary institution in a related field, and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or persons with refugee protection as this is a position related to Canada Summer Jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop high-quality, engaging content, including posts, videos, reels, and stories, tailored for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Social Media Management: Plan, schedule, and post content while maintaining a consistent brand voice across all platforms.
Community Engagement: Actively interact with followers by responding to comments, answering inquiries, and fostering a sense of community.
Campaign Development: Design and implement social media campaigns to promote Flex Point Academy’s courses and services, increasing visibility and enrollment.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics, analyze trends, and create actionable reports to improve engagement and reach.
Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align content with the company’s goals, ensuring messaging supports broader business objectives.
Qualifications
1-3 years of social media content creation or management experience.
Must be studying in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field. You must be able to show proof that you will be enrolled in September 2026.
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other graphic and video editing software.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance and inform strategy.
Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
