Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with manufacturing environments, and the ability to work safely and effectively with various tools and equipment. The Machine Operator will play a vital part in maintaining high-quality standards and supporting overall operational productivity.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery to produce quality products according to specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Adjust machine settings and perform changeovers as needed to accommodate different production runs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment for minor repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or warehouse equipment when necessary.
- Document production data accurately and report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus; certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform manual tasks as required.
- Prior warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential; willingness to learn new skills is important.
